Music has been an important part of my life for as long as I can remember.
Before I started kindergarten I was teaching myself to play the piano by ear. After a few weeks of lessons, a sweet piano teacher resigned after telling my parents that lessons at such a young age would likely stunt my natural ability. In later years I would join the school band, playing instruments including the clarinet, bass clarinet, oboe, bassoon, and trumpet.
In later years I would write, record and perform music semi-professionally as a vocalist and keyboardist both as a soloist and in bands.
