Dear one,
I began writing these love letters in response to the observation that I was “dad counseling” several people who needed more of a paternal influence in their lives. This all started out of a desire to share a little of what I know and what I don’t. There was no expectation of what it would be or who would even take the time to read it. 100 letters later, they’re being read by hundreds of people every day. The response has been overwhelming in the most beautiful of ways and for that I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you reading this. You are why I do it because if you weren’t here, there would be no point.
If I could hone down the message from all of these letters into a singular takeaway, it would be this: Show kindness, compassion, and love, starting with yourself.
Never forget that I love you, and that excludes no one.
