Dear one,
Holding the door for a stranger. A Jewish mother’s healing chicken soup. Receiving the symbolic blood and body of Christ. A hug. Reciting the King of Prayers. Taking a new mother for a spa day. Feeding the hungry. Laughter. Saying “I love you”. Massage. Saying “I apologize”. Saying “How can I help?”
Whether you subscribe to and/or practice a religion or follow a spiritual path, you have a hand in magic. Picking up a piece of trash on the sidewalk and putting it in the garbage can is magic, but so is littering. Doctors Without Borders works magic, and so do the people who hang “NO ____________ ALLOWED” signs in their storefronts. The energy we put into the world around us has an impact, even if that impact isn’t a positive one.
Embrace the magic within you, and accept that with your magical potential comes magical responsibility. Because it’s all magic, and no matter what labels you affix to it, if it isn’t rooted in love and kindness, it’s doing harm.
What kind of magic are you putting out into the world?
Never forget that I love you, and that excludes no one.
Love,
