“A garden requires patient labor and attention. Plants do not grow merely to satisfy ambitions or to fulfill good intentions. They thrive because someone expended effort on them.”

Liberty Hyde Bailey

Dear one,

What do you want? What are you expending effort on? Do the two answers match? It’s not enough to want something; you have to put in the work. There are times when that work is easy enough but as progress is wont to do, the road between where you are and where you want to be can becoming precarious and daunting.

As we end another week, I challenge you to spend some time this weekend comparing what you’re wanting and what you’re doing. Put some thought into small, incremental steps you might take toward getting where you want to be. It’s so much easier to get there if you start the car.

Never forget that I love you, and that excludes no one.

Love,
