Good morning and Happy Friday, dear one.
I’m dealing with some frustration and hurt surrounding some work-related stuff that I can’t do a lot about right now, and it got the better of me yesterday afternoon. It was beyond the normal levels of anxiety and I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that I thought about walking away from all of the stress entirely.
When I got in the car to leave my office in the afternoon, the hypnotic voices of Peter Gabriel and Kat Bush pulled me out of my head:
The fact is, the work I’m doing is important. It matters to me and to others, and no one else can do it quite the way I do. Though it is difficult and painful, I am not beaten yet, and I will not give up.
Whatever challenges you’re faced with, don’t give up. Who you are is important, and you matter. If you haven’t heard, the world is a better place because of you.
And never forget that I love you.
Love,
