“Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.”
Joshua J. Marine
Dear one,
I’ve never been much of a gamer. I was thinking last night about a conversation I had recently with someone who is quite a good gamer. That chat reframed the way that I think about the hobby.
As my friend was describing his affinity for gaming I began to see how it can be a useful tool to subconsciously change the way we view challenges in our lives. In a game challenges are there to keep you active and engaged, forcing you to use critical thinking skills on the spot. The greater the challenge, the more driven a gamer is to overcoming it.
What if we treated life’s challenges that way? What if it was possible to shift our mindset and view these challenges as a series of tests, and the more challenges we overcome, the more meaning we find?
Never forget that I love you, and that excludes no one.
Love,
