Dear one,
On a long drive the other day, a thought came to mind when I heard a familiar line from the song “Say Something” by A Great Big World.
“I’m still learning to love, just starting to crawl.”
We aren’t born knowing how to love; I learned that in Psych 101. Love is something we learn, and just like everything else that is learned, we can’t ever stop learning. There are no love “experts”. We are all just people who are “still learning to love”.
There are those who seem to be better at love than others, but all that means is that they have learned how to love you the way that you define the word. They have learned your language.
We’re all still learning to love. Just keep practicing, keep learning, and keep loving.
Never forget that I love you, and that excludes no one.
