Dear one,
This quote was in response to Laverne Cox asking what Jamie Lee would say to her younger self when she was just beginning her career. I was bowled over by how poignant and universal the idea is. The phrase “call off the search” in particular rings in my ears loudly this morning.
What are you searching for? Is it forcing you to sacrifice this moment because you’re so tightly wound with anxiety and anticipation over the future?
The future does not exist. Neither does the past. Remind yourself to relax and fully experience this moment, right here and right now.
Never forget that I love you, and that excludes no one.
