Dear one,
Everyone has flaws and makes mistakes. Before speaking negatively about someone, it can be helpful to take a step back and think about our own imperfections and how we would feel if someone talked negatively about us.
It’s important to consider the impact our words can have on others. Criticizing or gossiping about someone can be hurtful and damaging, both to the person we’re talking about and to our own relationships and reputation.
Instead of focusing on the negative, if you can’t find something positive to say, just refrain from commenting altogether (cue Thumper’s mom). It can also be helpful to practice empathy and try to understand where the other person is coming from, rather than jumping to negative conclusions.
Never forget that I love you, and that excludes no one.
Love,
