It’s ok to do nothing once in a while.
It’s ok to turn off the tv, the radio, even your phone.
It’s ok.
It’s ok to sit in the car for a few minutes and take a few deep breaths so you don’t take the heavy weight of the day home with you.
It’s ok to scroll past the Facebook post that upsets you instead of responding.
It’s ok not to retake a photo a dozen times or to filter yourself into someone else before posting it.
It’s ok to cry.
It’s ok to laugh at yourself.
It’s ok to feel sad.
It’s ok to feel nothing sometimes.
It’s ok to feel confused, or hurt, or lonely.
It’s ok to be scared.
It’s ok to ask for help.
It’s ok to feel beautiful, sexy even.
It’s ok to be the smartest person in the room.
It’s ok to be unwilling to make yourself smaller to make others feel bigger.
It’s ok to say no. It’s ok to put yourself first.
It’s ok. You’re ok.
Never forget that I love you, and that excludes no one.
Love,
