Dear one,
By the time I lost my partner in 2001, I had already experienced a lot of loss. But it wasn’t until that September day that the magnitude of human loss truly came front and center. So many lives ended that day, and all I could think about was the sheer potential that ended so abruptly.
That was when legacy became such an important thing to me. That’s when I understood that I didn’t need to be popular or well known, I only needed to live my life to the fullest in the hope that I would create something worth remembering.
Never forget that I love you, and that excludes no one.
