Dear one,

If you spent more time focusing on your own yard, the grass might not always be greener somewhere else.

What nature teaches us about survival is a valuable lesson indeed. Nature takes death & decay, fire & flood, even literal shit and creates life from it. What you don’t see when you stare longingly at the beauty of someone else’s garden is all that it took to get there.

If your grass (or garden, or potted plant) isn’t green, water it. Feed it. Devote your time and your love and your energy to it and nature will show you a living example of the magic that lives within us all. Magic isn’t a spectator sport; it’s yours, but not if you’re satisfied watching from the stands.

…and if you think this letter is about grass, you need to dig deeper.

Never forget that I love you, and that excludes no one.

Love,
